BRENTWOOD
SECONDARY COLLEGE

The new VCE centre at Brentwood Secondary College fosters increasing enrolments and enhanced educational offerings. The new space empowers the senior students through flexible and varied study spaces, allowing them to study under their own direction. The programmatic appropriation of the space is also adaptable with larger spaces able to transform into function rooms for events.

New amphitheatre seating, courtyard breakout space and external decking enable the spaces to extend the learning environments into the outdoors, stimulating a culture of constant educational inquiry and collaboration. The existing relocatable classrooms were also rearranged to increase connectivity and encourage social behaviour between students and staff. This project brings the required facilities to Brentwood Secondary, enabling quality education and care for its senior students.

A valued asset to Melbourne Polytechnic’s refurbished Greensborough Campus is the Melbourne Innovation Centre, an internationally acclaimed business incubator providing expertise, training, programs and networks to help grow sustainable business enterprises, create work opportunities and boost economic development.

At the Greensborough facility there is a collaborative working space for up to 30 people, as well as 24 offices—including some with sliding partitions to form larger areas—a breakout area and a mixture of small-to-medium-sized meeting rooms.

The success of the Melbourne Innovation Centre is contingent upon the cross-pollination of ideas. Tectura’s design supports this by providing a plethora of flexible work spaces to choose from to nurture spontaneous discussion and idea generation.
