Turkey’s Erzurum Province in the Eastern Anatolian Region encompasses the Palandoken ski resort, a renowned winter sport destination. This proposed ice rink was designed as a multi-purpose arena to host a number of winter sports, including ice hockey and ice skating.

Exposed curved laminated timber beams create the primary structure and provide an aesthetically unique, hull-shaped form, reminiscent of the structure of ancient Viking Longboats, referencing the history of Viking contact with the Black Sea region of Turkey.
