The Miners Rest Primary redevelopment brings extensive upgrades, including new classrooms, specialty learning spaces and sports facilities. Borrowing colour, texture and form from contextual natural features and histories, the new buildings have been carefully considered to strengthen the school’s connection to site.

Responding to the developing and dynamic school curriculum, the general purpose and specialist learning spaces are spatially flexible, encouraging a collaborative learning environment. These expansions come to align the school’s facilities with its communities’ vision, the new sports oval and gymnasium especially, elevating the school into a community hub reflective of the neighbourhood’s vitality and pedagogical needs. The redevelopment also supports the expansion of teaching staff and new technologies, establishing 21st century learning models, able to better service the growing community.
