NURSE TRAINING & OT FACILITY MELBOURNE POLYTECHNIC

The new Nurse Training and Simulation Suites at Melbourne Polytechnic’s Greensborough Campus provide a space for students to experience a variety of clinical scenarios in a supportive environment. Design of the facilities foregrounds connectivity, flexibility and movable simulation.

A modifiable demonstration suite, which replicates an in-home aged care environment, is adjoined by a central control room where demonstrations can be filmed or live streamed, creating continuity between real-time learning and ongoing training.  A second simulation suite contains three hospital beds and apparatus, all of which can be viewed from a central observation space.
